The dates of electronic submission of papers to the Journal of the Serbian Chemical Society were tracked from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2014, a period of nearly two years. In contrast to financial markets, there is a Tuesday–Wednesday effect: papers are more often submitted on Wednesday; nevertheless, the relative number of papers that will be approved is higher if they are submitted on Tuesday.
Weekend days (Saturday and Sunday, for example) are not the greatest days to finish and submit manuscripts.
