How to design research, align each part & get your study off to a successful start

The "art" and "science" of study design are discussed in this book. It's a "how-to" guide for having your study's "DNA" developed and aligned before creating more specific technique descriptions.

This book arose from my experience conducting my own research and assisting other researchers in learning the "craft" of research during the past many years. The information is arranged around a nine-cell framework that I've found to be helpful in assisting researchers (including myself) in designing a well-coordinated research project.

Presentations, website and blog postings, and my one-on-one research coaching have all featured many of these tools and strategies. They've now been consolidated and developed into a single volume including the most helpful tools and approaches for creating your own research design canvas.

This is a textbook supplement, not a research techniques textbook. To finish your design specifics, you'll need to consult your research techniques manuals and peer-reviewed research methods publications. Even under the best of conditions, the "journey" can be frustrating and difficult. My objective is that this book can assist anybody who is interested in getting the "DNA" of their research project correct early on in the process, avoiding some of the frustrations that come with all research initiatives.

The book is divided into nine chapters, each focusing on a different aspect of the creative canvas. They're listed in the order in which they're usually addressed. The "journey" of study, on the other hand, will take numerous twists and turns. As a result, each chapter is intended to serve as a stand-alone reference for that component.
